Do Vets rip us off with their price's or are they worth every penny?

they rip us off! i've been lucky to finally find a vet that makes it cheap, but most blow up the price to fill the lining in their pockets. and at the slightest sense of illness coming from your pet, they instantly give you anitibiotics (and side stuff if they can) for 2 weeks. most of the time they don't need it for that long, but you spend more. the bad side is that it weakens your pets immune system....i hate giving my pets antibiotics, so i try to keep it short. thankfully the new vet isn't spitting it up at every possible opportunity, and only prescribes how much they really need when they need.

I agree, they really do rip us off.

I don't have much faith in what they tell us either. If we're ill we go to a GP, who might send us to hospital for tests and then to a specialist for more tests before they decide what's wrong with us. With a Vet you just pop your pet on a table and 9 times out of 10 he or she decides what's wrong there and then.
